According to statistics, there is one divorce approximately every 36 seconds in the United States. That’s nearly 2,400 divorces per day, 16,800 divorces per week and 876,000 divorces a year. That’s really huge and well reflects the enormity of pressure facing the institution of marriage in our society today. And if nothing at all, one important lesson I have learned ever since I’ve been married is this: that a happy marriage doesn’t fall from heaven, you WORK at it.

Legendary investor Warren Buffett, the founder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, shared his best business advice with a group of small business owners. Speaking at the 20th Graduation of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses at LaGuardia Community College, Buffett told the graduates: “Tomorrow morning when you look in the mirror after you’ve gotten up, just write — or just put it in lipstick or whatever you want — ‘delight my customer’ not ‘satisfy my customer.’ ‘Delight my customer.’”

Therefore, a personal constitution is a personal statement of principles that guides and propels an individual’s action, conduct or behaviour. It is popularly referred to as a mission or purpose statement.
A preacher once told the story of an experience and observation he made during a hurricane. It was a tale of resilience in the face of a raging storm. And this was about a palm tree defying the brutal force of a hurricane. As the strong wind currents traveled, it made a dash across the city landscape collapsing and destroying houses, uprooting infrastructures and all kinds of trees…but one. The palm tree resisted and withstood the pressures from all around its vicinity.
