In life there are two kinds of people, the optimists and the pessimists. If you belong to the latter group of individuals, chances are you find it really hard to acknowledge the little victories climbing up the ladder to success. A quote by Alphonse Karr says, “Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses”.
For such people, the climb up seems tiresome, boring and they give in to easily to obstacles that come their way. With the other group of hopeful and present minded people, they see the journey to success as a mapped out adventure, with road blocks and a lot of ‘Xs’ to be unearthed.
Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, Oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name
Folks, this piece simply provokes gratitude! I’m grateful to God for all things, even the stormy weather. Thank you Fonz, for sharing this 😉

Some people don’t like rain, it makes them wet they say.
Don’t they know, just what that rain gives?
It waters the plants that feed the birds, and us to.
Without the rain there would be no sun,
without the rain the world would be dark.
No flowers that bid us good day,
tipping their hats as we strolled through the day.
No singing birds as they wash in the rain.
No plants stretching. No trees creaking.
The rain is the start of life, and the end.
Rain sustains the planet, and our appetite.
Without the rain there would be no you.
There would be no me either.
Thank you rain!
